Blue Oaks Residence
Set among rolling hills and native oaks in Geyserville, this residence is designed to move in rhythm with the Northern California light. By day, expansive glazing and deep overhangs shape and soften the sun, drawing daylight across wood ceilings, plaster walls, and stone floors. Sheer drapery filters the western glow, creating a warm, diffused atmosphere that shifts with the afternoon.
As evening falls, layered illumination brings intimacy without excess. Recessed lighting quietly defines planes and circulation, while sculptural pendants and chandeliers anchor gathering spaces with a soft, human-scaled glow. Exterior lighting remains restrained—tracing paths and revealing timber structure—allowing the home to read as a warm lantern within the landscape.
