Antioch City Hall Council Chambers
A contemporary civic forum shaped by light, the Antioch City Hall Council Chambers balances architectural warmth, technical precision, and broadcast-ready performance to support transparent public engagement.
The Antioch City Hall Council Chambers reimagines the civic meeting space as a refined, technologically integrated environment that fosters clarity, inclusivity, and civic pride. The lighting design works in concert with the chamber’s curved geometry and wood-lined architecture to create a balanced and visually comfortable setting for council members, staff, and the public.
A dramatic circular luminous element anchors the room, reinforcing the chamber’s central focus while delivering soft, even ambient illumination. Linear architectural fixtures integrated within the wood slat ceiling establish rhythm and provide uniform horizontal light across seating areas. Layered perimeter coves enhance vertical brightness, improving facial recognition and camera performance for live broadcast and recording.
Careful attention was given to glare control, acoustic coordination, and sightlines to ensure optimal visibility across the dais, audience seating, and presentation displays. The result is a composed, warm civic environment where light enhances material richness, supports advanced audiovisual needs, and elevates the experience of public discourse.
