Wallis Annenberg PetSpace

A vibrant, light-filled community destination, Wallis Annenberg PetSpace uses playful yet purposeful lighting to celebrate the animal-human bond while supporting transparency, care, and discovery.

Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is both a fully operational adoption center and an interactive educational environment, where lighting plays a central role in shaping experience. The design balances bright, welcoming public zones with carefully controlled illumination in animal care areas, supporting best-practice standards for comfort, visibility, and wellbeing.

Daylit volumes are reinforced with even, glare-controlled ambient lighting that maintains clarity and energy throughout the expansive interior. Sculptural ring pendants, integrated linear systems, and illuminated architectural elements add rhythm and visual identity, complementing bold color moments and playful features such as the habi-trail slide and interactive exhibits. Backlit portals, accent lighting, and transparent glazing highlight surgery, grooming, and rehabilitation spaces—reinforcing openness and trust.

The result is a dynamic yet composed lighting environment that enhances exploration, ensures operational functionality, and creates a welcoming destination for families, staff, and adoptable animals alike.
